PVR Technology
Cello Electronics has launched the UK’s first Personal Video Recorder (PVR) Freeview TV that records onto SD cards rather than a built-in hard drive.
The TV’s revolutionary SD card functionality means consumers can now make unlimited recordings, keep their favourite programmes without taking up valuable storage space on a hard drive, play their programmes on computers and different TVs with the same PVR SD card feature and create backups of their favourites.
It also spells the end of noisy built-in hardrives that often have complicated timers and limited storage space. Instead, everything can be controlled via the easy-to-use remote control, which enables simple one touch recording via the Electronic Programming Guide (EPG). What’s more, consumers can now store complete programme series on their SD cards and simply invest in new cards when space begins to run out.
Complete with two tuners and SD slots to enable the recording of two channels at once, the HD ready TV also has a unique split screen functionality, so that two channels can be viewed at once.

- An integrated DVD player.
